ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES TO CURIE METROPOLITAN HIGH SCHOOL

Curie Metropolitan High School admissions procedures to the International Baccalaureate, Performing Arts, and Vocational/Technical Programs for students in eighth grade have been revised in an effort to bring consistency to the process. The application below can be used to apply for any ONE of the three programs.

Your elementary school counselor will forward completed Curie applications to:

Application Deadline
December 21, 2007

For applicants to the International Baccalaureate Program only:
Two letters of recommendation from teachers or principal are required with the application. Based upon the application, students will be invited to interview.

For applicants to the Performing Arts Program only:
Applicants are chosen by lottery.

For applicants to the Vocational/Technical Program only:
Applicants are selected by a faculty committee.

Acceptance letters will be mailed to the homes of students selected for admission to Curies International Baccalaureate, Performing Arts, or Vocational/Technical Program by the deadline date established by the Office of High School Programs.

Your elementary school counselor will be mailed non-acceptance letters and a list of students who were accepted to Curie by the deadline date established by the Office of High School Programs.

Students and Parents are invited to attend . . .

Curie's Open House Thursday, November 15, 2007
5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
