Parent University 103: Mental Health First Aid and Being Trauma-Informed

Many people developing mental health disorders do not get professional help or delay getting professional help. This workshop will teach parents to recognize when a person is at-risk of developing a mental illness. Parents will learn how to talk about mental health problems and how they can provide information, support, and guidance to their loved ones. An overview of post-traumatic growth, the positive change as a result of struggle after a traumatic event, will be provided.
