Hearing loss can result in barriers due to the lack of spoken language access and its impacts on social and emotional development. Curie’s Program for Chicago Public School (CPS) students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is designed to provide an intense curriculum that addresses the unique educational needs of students. Students develop valuable communication and social skills that assist them in becoming productive members of society.
