INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE MIDDLE YEARS PROGRAMME
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The IB Programme includes a curriculum and pedagogy, student assessment, professional development for teachers, a process of school authorization and evaluation. The IB Middle Years Programme is an honors program offered to students in 9th and 10th grade and provides a challenging academic framework in preparation for the IB Diploma Programme. The Diploma Programme, a very rigorous college preparatory program offered to students in 11th and 12th grades, prepares students with a valuable competitive edge for admission to the top universities in the US, access to many scholarships and possible university credit based on IB subject results.
