About me
I have been teaching English at Curie for 5 years. I teach English 1 and English 2, AVID elective, and next school year I will be the newspaper adviser for our new Newspaper Journalism class at Curie. I coach our softball team in the spring and love helping and supporting students in anything they do or need. I like to travel, read, bike around Chicago, and hang out with my cats
I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and got my degree in English from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, and received my teaching license from Edgewood College. I recently achieved National Board Certification in teaching secondary English. I was awarded a Fund for Teachers fellowship for the summer of 2024 to attend the Journalism Education Association Advisers Institute.
