All About Me
My name is Michal Drop, and I am a Spanish teacher at Curie H.S.
I teach two IB courses: IB 1 Spanish for juniors and IB 2 Spanish for seniors. Both of these subjects correspond to advanced levels of Spanish 3 and Spanish 4 for English speakers. I also teach Spanish for Heritage Speakers 2 (SHS 2) course designed for native speakers of the Spanish language.
Together with Mrs. Urquiza, I am a co-sponsor of the Spanish Honor Society - Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, which is one of the biggest honor societies in our school. Every year we induct about 80 new members to the Society, mostly juniors and seniors, who represent the best students from different levels and courses of the Spanish language.
In my free time I like to read and practice some sports. One of my greatest passions was riding my bicycle (mountain and racing), but after an accident I cannot do it any more. I walk and hike instead. My other passion is traveling, and I have been to many places all over the world. My favorite trips have been to Greece, Argentina and the Holy Land, and within the United States to New Orleans, San Francisco and the Florida Keys.
