About me

 Classes
This year I am teaching 4 Transitional Math Classes. These are senior level math classes through our partnership with Daley College. CCC Math 090, which focuses on review for the college placement test. I also teach 1 sophomore level Geometry course entitled: Integrated Math II. I have been teaching for over 25 years.
About me
I have worked in Florida, Maryland, and finally the Chicago area. I have been with CPS over 20 years. I spent time in middle school, but found my calling at the high school level. I enjoy teaching and working with students. Curie has been my home since 1999. I have worked with a variety of wonderful people, including several different principals, administrators, teachers and dynamic support staff. Student success is something I constantly try to achieve with my learners. I am a big proponent of post-secondary goals and success. I push my students to see the importance and relevance of setting goals and achieving them. I am always happy to lend a hand and share my experience with my students.
Background
Most of my students would describe me as caring, patient, enthusiastic, sarcastic (In a fun way), yet serious. They know that they can come to me for support and a good laugh. I have a love for the arts, especially music and dance! I have participated in dance classes for over 20 years. I have a passion for Pilates and I am proud to be an instructor and a student presently! I also instruct dance classes from time to time. Traveling is also a fun part of my life. I have been to numerous places in the Caribbean, Europe, and traveled through the U.S. Some of my favorite places to visit are California, New York, and Barbados.
