About Dean Brown

Hi! My Name is Adria Brown, I grew up on the Southside of Chicago before moving to Flossmoor, IL a south Chicagoland suburb area to attend high school. I have worked with students for over 10 years with 8 years of experience in CPS as of the '23-'24 school year. 

 

I am the oldest of three girls and have one nephew. In my free time, I enjoy going to concerts, listening to Audible books and exploring the city. 

 

I attended Homewood Flossmoor High School, where I had an amazing learning experience. I learned that I enjoyed learning and knew I wanted to advance my education. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville. I received my Masters of Education in Youth Development, from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am currently looking for a PHD program that will be a good fit. I am passionate about supporting the kids of Chicago through Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning.
